About us
A kitchen with Chegutu’s name on it.
The best food in town was always at somebody’s house, never at a restaurant.
Town food meant small portions, tired oil and a menu photocopied from somewhere else. That was the observation Chitemere Eats started from.
So we built the kitchen we wanted to eat at: where the sadza is made fresh through the day, the stews go on at dawn and cook slow, the braai stand actually uses charcoal, and a working person can eat properly without wincing at the bill.
We’re part of the Chitemere Group family of ventures: built and run from Chegutu, for Chegutu.
